NOVO Presents: Song and Dance!

Join NOVO for a night of beloved orchestral music that pays homage to two fundamental modes of human expression - song, and dance. The program features the tuneful and elegant 5th Symphony by Franz Schubert, a composer best known for his immaculate songwriting. Selections from Dvorak’s Slavonic Dances presents some of the timeless dance rhythms that inform symphonic music in its most vibrant and joyful form. And lastly, the Overture from Die Fledermaus (“The Bat”) combines both into an opera overture overflowing with dancing, songs, champagne, and a healthy dose of mischief. We hope you will join us as we celebrate our first post-COVID performance of a full symphony!
